Old Lyme bat removal
Big Brown bat found on stairs in an attic

Bat Removal in Old Lyme, CT

Old Lyme’s shoreline attics and eaves near Niantic Bay are bat favorites. White Nose Syndrome devastated Connecticut’s little brown bats, so I haven’t seen them in homes for years. Before the disease hit, little browns were the main species I excluded — they were our best natural mosquito control. These days it’s big browns every time.

  1. Inspection — Thorough attic/crawlspace check for entry points and guano.
  2. Exclusion — Install one-way doors during non-maternity season (no exclusion June–August).
  3. Cleanup & Sealing — Remove guano, sanitize area, seal all gaps.
  4. Prevention — Vent screens, ridge vents, soffit repairs.

Starting at $225, DEEP-approved and safe. Call 860-510-6313 for same-day help.

Old Lyme Skunk removal 2026 Skunk eating a marshmallow

Skunk Removal in Old Lyme, CT

Skunks burrow under decks and sheds in Old Lyme’s suburban and shoreline yards near the Niantic River, spraying when threatened and digging lawns.

I do a lot of skunk trapping in the Old Lyme area, especially during breeding season (mid-February through early March). Males and females fighting under decks, leading to heavy spraying and strong odors.

  1. Assessment — Locate entry, assess odor/damage.
  2. Trapping — Live traps with odor control (no relocation per DEEP).
  3. Exclusion — Hardware cloth barriers and dig Defense.

Quick start in 1–3 days, legal and effective. Starting at $225. Call 860-510-6313.

Old Lyme Squirrel Removal febuirrel removal Feb 2026

Squirrel Removal in Old Lyme, CT

Squirrels invade attics and eaves in Old Lyme’s wooded neighborhoods near the Niantic River, damaging wiring and insulation.

n coastal Old Lyme neighborhoods, gray squirrels are the ones I see most often. Deeper inland, where there are older forests, flying squirrels take over — they love those big trees and can squeeze into tiny gaps in roofs or vents.

  1. Check — Gnaw marks, nests, entry points.
  2. Trapping — One-way doors or live traps.
  3. Repairs — Seal soffits, vents, chimney caps.
  4. Habitat — Trim branches, remove bird feeders.

Guaranteed service starting at $225. Call 860-510-6313.

Sick raccoon removed from a koi pond in Old Lyme
Sick Raccoon in Koi pond Old Lyme CT

Raccoon Removal in Old Lyme, CT

Raccoons scavenge near Niantic Bay and the Niantic River, nesting in chimneys, attics, boat yards, and koi ponds with destruction, noise, and rabies concerns.

I’ve taken care of raccoons up and down the shoreline — marinas are some of my biggest clients.

One memorable job in Old Lyme was attempting to evict a mother raccoon from a chimney. She shot up the chimney like a rocket and chased me right to the ladder — I’ve never gotten off a roof faster in my life. When that happens, no eviction will work; she just established dominance. I had to switch to trapping her, go in and grab the kits from the fireplace, put them in a box, and release the mother. She came back and moved the kits one by one. Chimney cap installed before release.

Another time in Old Lyme, I hand-captured a sick raccoon with a catchpole from a koi pond (picture above). I suspect it had distemper — they’ll try cooling their body temperature down because of the high fever, and they pass out and drown. I’ve fished them out of swimming pools before.

  1. Free evaluation — Check attic/chimney for nests/damage.
  2. Secure live traps — No relocation (DEEP required).
  3. Eviction & sealing — One-way doors and repairs.
  4. Prevention — Secure trash, trim trees.

Efficient and compliant. Starting at $225. Call 860-510-6313.
