Bat removal Cost

Bat removal can be costly, because bats can get into tiny spaces and the air currents coming out of little cracks are easy for the bats to hone in on. Exclusion prices vary greatly no house is the same. I give you a rough estimate of cost of bat exclusion during questioning over the phone if asked to do so. Obviously until I do an inspection these prices are just an estimation of actual Bat control cost. The cost of inspection goes towards the job if hired. Many times I do free inspection if I am in the area that day on other jobs. Special equipment is sometimes needed to access bat entry points. Picture above is me doing a bat removal from behind a tall chimney. In the picture I am using a 60ft articulating boom lift to access the bat removal entry points. To rent these machines they can cost around $700 for one day. One way doors were installed along the chimney gap allowing the bats out but not back in. Luckily on this job the bat removal one-way-doors were able to be set at a spot accessible by ladder, so the lift was needed for one day only.

Bat Removal Process, or Bat Exclusion

At RF Wildlife Bat Removal Service, we employ a comprehensive bat removal and exclusion process to ensure your property is free from these pesky creatures. The process involves a series of steps designed to identify all entry points and remove bats from your premises in a humane manner.

During the initial inspection, we conduct a thorough evaluation of your property to locate potential access points used by bats to gain entry. We provide valuable information on bats and their habits, which helps you understand the best ways to prevent future infestations.

Once we have identified all the entry points, we begin the bat exclusion process. Our team of professionals works on the outside of your home, closing off all potential access points to prevent bats from re-entering your property. We install one-way doors, also known as bat cones, over all the entry points to allow bats to leave but not return. These one-way doors remain on for a minimum of 4 days, and we recommend leaving them on for a week or more to ensure all bats have left the premises.

After the bat removal, we return to take down the bat cones and permanently close off all entry points. This ensures that bats do not have any access to your home or business, preventing future infestations.

Our bat removal and exclusion process is designed to ensure that your property is free from bats and that you can enjoy a safe and comfortable living or working environment. Contact RF Wildlife Bat Removal Services for a professional and humane bat removal experience.

My three year bat exclusion warranty is simple. If bats regain access within three years of the end of the bat exclusion I will come back free of charge to remediate the exclusion. My name is on every bat exclusion I do, and I have zero complaints proving my Steller customer service record. I am horrible about asking for reviews but my main site from my IT guys have some and you can look at my Google my business map page. The warranty can be extended with an inspection fee at anytime. I only give three years because of our crazy New England weather. Even so, you can reasonably expect the exclusion to last much longer than three years. Some homes are impossible to warranty do to major structural problems. Occasionally I only warranty certain areas ( like when a soffit is rotting away) this will be discussed during inspection. this is true with skunk exclusions also.

Two species of bats are most common to cause Bat removal problems in CT

The most common Connecticut problem bat species that invades human dwellings are the big brown bat. Big brown bat removal are about the size of a sparrow and are the number one cause of bat removal in CT. 99% of all bat colonies I evict from homes are big brown bats ever since White Nose syndrome came through decimating Connecticut’s Little Brown bat population. Little Brown Bats are the bats that used to help control our mosquito population in the state. Notice the past few years how our mosquito issues have climbed. I will get into our two most common Bat species on further pages of this new site. Bat exclusion is the only way to deal with Bat control problems. No poison is authorized for bat extermination. Repellents do not work. These animals do more good then harm and killing bats should only happen if you wake to find one flying around your home.

Emergency Bat removal In the Living space

Bat flying around living space of house is very common especially when Young bats just learn to fly. Answer these questions to determine if the bat should be captured and Tested for rabies.

  • Did you wake up to the bat flying around?
  • Is anyone in the house unable to speak if they got bit or scratched? (like very young child)
  • Was anyone who may have had contact with the bat sleeping?
  • Do you have pets and are they up to date on rabies vaccine?

I ask these questions because other sites will tell you how to return the bat outside. If you answered yes to the above questions you will want to catch the bat euthanize it, then have it tested for rabies. Catching the bat flying in the house is usually pretty easy if you have eyes on it. A great way is using a tennis racket or bad mitten racket and swat it out of the air. The bat will usually be doing circles around the room tapping its wings against the walls. The head must be intact for them to test the brain for rabies. You can then place the bat in a bag and put it in a cool place like a refrigerator. DO NOT FREEZE the bat to be tested. Call your local health department many of them will transport the bat for testing. Rocky Hill is the test site used mostly in my bat service area. I have taken bats that tested positive for rabies in Connecticut but it is not very common to do so. If you can not find the bat contact your physician, Your Doctor may want you to get rabies shots as a precaution.

Bat Removal CT Home Owners be wary

For bat removal give us a call we are experts in providing Connecticut bat exclusions. We only provide animal removal services and leave the bugs to the pest control experts. Be wary of pest control companies getting into the bat exclusion business sadly many are trying and failing miserably. They are used to coming in spraying then off to the next job. Bat exclusions are an all day or multi day affair. It is construction issues not what chemical to spray. I have personally been behind one of the nations largest pest control companies after they trapped a colony of bats in a house. We will even provide names of competent Bat removal companies that I trust to do the job correctly if you are price shopping.

Watch out for the apocalyptic pressure salesmen

Don’t be pressured by the apocalyptic sales tactics some companies employ. They will warn you about Histoplasmosis, yet the tech or salesman walked around in the attic full of Guano without a respirator. Histoplasmosis is a concern, but not as common as these high pressure salesmen will convey. Same with the rabies scare tactic. I have personally caught bats in Connecticut that tested positive for rabies, but out of the hundreds of bats I have removed by hand only a couple tested positive. Most likely than not you had bats in your building for years and have only just discovered their presence. A good portion of my job is educating people about the animals that have invaded their home. With education comes peace of mind. Bats are a rabies vector visit my bats in the living space page to learn about this. For Bat removal service in Connecticut give us a call. 860-510-6313
